5 Things To Make This Week Your Best

I have started to acquire a liking for lists.

So, without further ado, I present to you this unheralded list that you probably already knew you should be working on, but that you still didn’t, because no one told you. No one but me.

Alright, here we go:

i) Rid yourself of all the guilt and the feeling bad for other people. Only *YOU* matter in life. That doesn’t mean go around and be rude and impolite to people, it simply means prioritizing yourself first.

ii) Find *your* best way of getting up in the morning and going to bed at night. A lot of times, and this certainly applies to me, the earlier the better. I work best in the wee hours before sunlight, getting all the obligatory work out of the way so I can enjoy the rest of the day. If you are night owl, *allow yourself* to be a night owl and work when others are asleep.

iii) Stop listening to criticism of your honest work. When I say criticism of your honest work, I do not mean necessary feedback where you must correct mistakes. If you train at a fight gym and your instructor corrects your technique or your boss at work tells you to rewrite a report you filed, that’s a different and necessary thing. I am simply talking about those Energy Vampires [EV’s] who *make you feel bad* for wanting to work on yourself and your projects instead of pleasing them and their desires.

iv) Allow yourself to have some fun throughout your work. Life cannot be *all* work. As long as you do everything you are supposed to do, watch an episode of your favorite television show, have some junk food if you crave it, go out with your boys and drink. Whatever makes you feel good and happy. But if the fun part interferes too much with your work, you must cut back on it. Bottom line is, avoid the ascetic lifestyle.

v) Outsource as much work as possible. Especially the dull, bland and boring, but necessary work tasks. Housekeeping. Washing dishes. Cooking food. Changing the oil on your car. And so on. Everything that does not bring you in more money. Yes I realize that some of you reading this email don’t have spouses [mainly girls or wives]. So, happily pay someone to do the work for you. And if you aren’t in a position to do so, you know what to fix.

Alright and that was it.

This turned into a slightly longer article than I thought, but it doesn’t matter.

What matters is, if you stick to and follow these five points. Try doing that for a week and you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
