I’ve got a lot on my Mind today!
One of the best way to gauge your Energy Levels when dealing with people is seeing how they react to your demeanor.
And in particular children.
Before you start moaning about kids just being kids, they haven’t developed fully yet, their Minds are still in a place of growth and whatever other excuse you have, keep in Mind that kids are the most sincere, honest and transparent human beings there are in terms of Feedback. If a kid doesn’t like your mood, he or she will let you know. They’ll quickly turn away if you’re scary and they’ll smile if they’re attracted to your presence.
No, I am not suggesting you go join a kindergarten or start a daycare business.
But if you have the chance, Why don’t you experiment a little if you’re around these little tiny magicians.
Depending on where you live and what you do, it’s the Holiday season after all.
And more, the more you practice being around other people, be it kids or adults, the more you’ll be able to gauge how others like and respond to you. If you make them feel good, chances are they’ll want to have more yo do with you in the future. And I ain’t talking necessarily about other kids. I am talking about the people you find important in your life, like business owners with whom you want to make money, hot girls you want to bang, possible mentors you want to seek out and so on.
Other people who teach this stuff say it’s all about value exchange and so on.
This is true and I Agree.
But it’s also about making other people take your Energy and Give them an opportunity to Give theirs to you, so that they’ll feel good. It’s a positive Feedback loop where you work on making each other feel good simultaneously.
And just like anything, this has to be Trained.
If you’re in the business of making money and charging for some of service or product (Which I assume a lot of the readers on this list are), then I’d love to echo a guest on the Strike It Big podcast who said something important the other day.
The bloke is a personal trainer of some sort I think. Or involved in the fitness industry one way or the other. Which means he has a lot of insight into how that particular niche works.
When being questioned about how any valuable tips and insights, he said something like (and I am paraphrasing);
‘You know, many of the most successful trainers aren’t even the best in the industry. They just get more clients and people like them better because they’re more enjoyable to be around. So they’re the highest paid trainers.’
Think about that for a second.
And no, I am not suggesting you aim to be inferior at what you do. Aim to be the best. By all means. But that also means being the best at Energy Exchanges and making others like you.
I’m reminded how I ended up buying a car, almost exclusively because of how much I enjoyed the salesclerk and his way of making me feel good and how much Energy he gave me. Yeah I liked the car, Yeah it was the sort of car I wanted, but given I’m not a ‘car guy’, I could have ended up purchasing another car from another Brand if I didn’t like that particular lad.
So Yeah, Energy Exchanges and making others feel good go both ways.
Something to chew on the next time you’re being sold something and you end up buying because you actually like the other person.
How can you take what they do and use it in your everyday life?
