I once heard about a guy who was driving around to see his buddies.
In his car his grandfather was sitting in the backseat. For whatever reason he had to bring the old man with him because he didn’t have anyone to take care of him.
You see, the old fella suffered from Alzheimer’s disease.
Yet, I was told the grandfather was always all smiles and was happy to see people. The problem, aside from forgetting people’s names and what they did, is that he sometimes even forgot to put on his own clothes.
So it would happen quite frequently that he’d open the door to his house completely naked!
So that you could see……
….I’m not even going to finish the sentence.
It’s sad enough as it is.
I don’t know what happened to the grandfather later. Hopefully he was taken to a nursery home where he at least was taken care of for the remaining years of his life.
