Why Your Body Needs Omega 3 Fish Oils

I’m sure you’ve felt it.

I certainly have felt it. And let me tell you something, that ain’t a pleasant experience. In fact, I’ve had people give me weird looks and even withdraw from my presence because they can’t stand that foul stench.

I’m not talking about old sweat, by the way. I’m very cautious with my hygiene.

No, what I’m talking about is the disliked fish burp. You know the bad breath that you get as you produce gas in your gut after taking a fish oil supplement. And, since gas needs to leave the body one way or the other, it means that you may end up scaring away that company of yours.

However, there are ways of course, to circumvent the fish burp.

One way is to simply just take simple, raw fish oil. I’ll be the first one to admit it doesn’t taste that good, but it contains lots and lots of healthy ingredients that your body will benefit from.

If you’re consuming capsules, you could also start with taking the capsule before you eat, so that your gut gets busy digesting the meal and you won’t have to worry that much about the bad breath.

Or you could chew some gum.

Either way, whether you take fish oil or swallow a capsule, here are 6 reasons why you should consume fish liver oils [1]:

  • It lowers blood pressure
  • It reduces triglycerides
  • It slows the development of plaque in the arteries
  • It reduces the chances of abnormal heart rhythm
  • It reduces the likelihood of heart attack and stroke
  • It lessens the chance of sudden cardiac death in people with heart disease

By and large, there are no downsides to taking Omega 3 fish oils. Especially if you belong to an at-risk group. Typical examples are the elderly and overweight. Or, if you’re genetically predisposed to getting cardiovascular diseases. Perhaps some of your relatives have passed away from such an illness?

If you are overweight, a senior citizen and you have a family history of cardiovascular diseases, one of the best things you could do for your health is to start taking an omega 3 fish oil supplement.

Of course that alone won’t give you any guarantees, but you are walking down the right path towards better health.

If you also start exercising regularly and eat healthy, you may see a decrease in the risk of getting any dangerous diseases. Perhaps even your blood pressure will decrease as well?

Of course, you need to verify this with a doctor or a medical professional.

However, to my own knowledge, I don’t know about a single case where omega 3 fish oil supplements have worsened the health of someone.

If you have particularly high triglyceride levels, there are prescription omega 3 supplements available.

Remember, a better life starts with a better health.

And the only person who can change you is you.
